It did not strike me as strange to find a devotion to the Sun-god among various ancient peoples. And I saw that while some worshipped this heavenly object because it gave life to the earth and to nature, others recognized in that majestic body the symbol of a greater reality.
Je ne fus pas étonné de trouver la dévotion au dieu-Soleil chez des peuples anciens et je compris que, si certains adorèrent l'astre parce qu'il donnait la vie à la terre et à la nature, d'autres remarquèrent dans ce corps majestueux le symbole d'une réalité majeure.
No me extrañó encontrar en antiguos pueblos la devoción por el dios-Sol y comprendí que si algunos adoraron al astro porque daba vida a su tierra y a la naturaleza, otros advirtieron en ese cuerpo majestuoso el símbolo de una realidad mayor.
Ne surprizis min, ke mi trovis ĉe antikvaj popoloj adoradon de la Sun-dio kaj mi vidis, ke iuj adoris astron, ĉar ĝi donis vivon al ilia tero kaj al la naturo, dum aliaj vidis en tiu ĉi majesta korpo la simbolon de pli alta realo.
